Blue Grass Jam

The night was cold, windy and snow was drifting...a very typical February winter night in Illnois. But the Blue Grass enthusiasts still came out to the clubhouse for the Jam on Saturday! About 8 musicians braved the weather to share their musical talent with the 30 or so listeners at the clubhouse.

Many old favorites were performed and some new songs written in some instances by those present. The food was very good, hot ham and bean soup, spaghetti, cookies, deserts, ice cream, pop...a little bit of everything. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the music and food and a lot of the younger attendees enjoyed dancing to the music.

And the "littlest fiddlers" did a great job too as they captured the audiences attention!

The mandolin added a special sound to the night and the gentleman playing it was having a great time producing some really good solos as well as accompaniments.

So next month when the 3rd Saturday rolls around, drop on into the Clubhouse about 6:00pm or so and enjoy some excellent talent, good food, great music and an evening getting acquainted with other LTA members and all at absolutely no cost! The price is right...hope to see you next month!
